10 Best Free Baby & Newborn Tracker Apps for iPhone
Updated October 29, 2026 · written by AppHunt
Every baby tracker logs feeds, sleep and diapers, so the real differences lie elsewhere: how quickly you can log one-handed at 3 am, whether a partner or nanny can add to the same log for free, and how far tracking goes beyond the basics, into pumping, growth or medicine. Apps also differ on accounts: if sharing runs through one, your baby's data lives on the developer's servers.

Nightlight
AppHunt partner · promo codeNightlight is built for the 3 am feed: after dark the screen turns dim and warm, buttons sit under your thumb, and it remembers which breast you finished on. It also logs bottles, pumping, sleep, diapers, growth and medicine, and anyone you invite through iCloud, a partner or the nanny, shares the journal for free, with no account, ads or tracking. Premium, with trends, a nap estimate and a PDF report, is free for good with the AppHunt promo code on this page.
Good for: Parents who split the night shifts

Baby Tracker by Nighp
The most-rated baby tracker in the US App Store times each breast separately and logs bottles, pumping, sleep, diapers, growth against WHO standards, medicine and milestones. You can log from Apple Watch or by Siri, follow a running timer in a Live Activity, and sync across the family's phones. Optional What's Next cues, worked out on the phone, estimate when your baby will next sleep or eat.
Good for: Logging everything, from any device at hand
Keep in mind: Core tracking is free with ads, per the developer. Plus (monthly or yearly) removes the ads and adds the What's Next cues, and one Group Plus subscription covers the whole sync group. The App Store page also lists a one-time Remove Ads purchase.

Huckleberry
Huckleberry is best known for SweetSpot, which learns your baby's rhythm and, from two months of age, suggests the best window for the next nap. The free tier already logs two-sided nursing, sleep, diapers, pumping, growth and medicine for several children and syncs with other caregivers. It also has a contraction timer for labor and, later on, tracks solids, allergens and potty training.
Good for: Parents who want help timing naps
Keep in mind: SweetSpot, schedules, insights and AI logging come with Plus; Premium adds the Berry AI chat and custom sleep plans, per the developer.

Glow Baby
From the makers of the Glow fertility and Nurture pregnancy apps. Glow Baby puts fourteen kinds of entries on one timeline, among them nursing, bottles, pumping with a record of stored milk, sleep, diapers and growth, and adds articles and AI-generated insights about your baby's patterns. Premium compares your baby's numbers with those of other Glow babies.
Good for: Parents who like charts and comparisons
Keep in mind: Glow Premium (three months, a year or lifetime) adds comparative insights, extra articles and private messaging, per the developer. Many US reviews from 2024–2025 say the free version caps entries per day and that adding caregivers needs Premium. The last update was in November 2025.

Hatch Grow
Hatch Grow works on its own as a plain log of feeds, pumping, diapers, sleep and weight, with timers whose start time you can fix if you tapped late. Paired with Hatch's smart changing pad, which has a scale built in, it weighs the baby before and after nursing to show how much milk they drank. Logs can be shared with a partner and exported for a lactation consultant.
Good for: Measuring breastfeeding intake with a scale
Keep in mind: The App Store page lists no in-app purchases; the changing pad is optional. The last update was in July 2025.

My Baby
A straightforward diary with nothing to buy: feeds, pumping, sleep, diapers, mood, temperature, illnesses, vaccines and growth, plus photos and notes about firsts. Recent updates added a Home Screen widget that starts timers, CSV import from another tracker, a timer for crying spells, and entry times that stay put when you travel across time zones. A partner can share the baby's profile.
Good for: A free log with nothing to upgrade
Keep in mind: The App Store page lists no in-app purchases, and its privacy label declares only data not linked to you.

Ovia Parenting
Ovia Parenting, from Ovia Health by Labcorp, pairs a simple log of feeds, diapers, sleep and milestones with a private family feed: partners and caregivers get full access as admins, while grandparents and friends can follow photos and videos. Daily articles match your child's age, and parents trade questions and answers anonymously in its community.
Good for: Logging plus a family photo feed
Keep in mind: The App Store page lists no in-app purchases; extra coaching and programs come with Ovia+ through some employers and health plans, per the developer.

Baby+
Philips' baby app, a sister to its Pregnancy+, pairs trackers for feeds and expressing, sleep, diapers, health and growth with a teeth chart, a journal and week-by-week guides to your baby's development. It keeps twins in separate profiles, can share the log with family, and adds white noise, a hairdryer sound included, and a free Disney lullaby every month.
Good for: Twins and week-by-week guidance
Keep in mind: The App Store page lists no in-app purchases. The last update was in November 2025.

Baby Tracker! by Amila
A no-frills log from Amila Tech that covers feeds, pumping, sleep, diapers, photos, measurements and medicine, with charts of what you logged. There are no articles or coaching, just the log and its statistics, and the developer calls it a free tracker. It runs on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Good for: A simple free log on one phone
Keep in mind: Free with ads; a monthly or yearly subscription is sold, but the listing doesn't say what it adds. The listing doesn't mention sharing, and several reviews say the log can't be shared between two phones.

Medela Family
Made by the breast pump company, Medela Family logs nursing, pumping, bottles, diapers, sleep and growth, and records pumping sessions by itself when paired with one of Medela's smart pumps. Pregnancy tools, expert articles, a helper for breastfeeding questions and checklists, from the hospital bag to the return to work, sit alongside, and records export for the pediatrician.

Questions and answers
Is there a completely free baby tracker app?
Yes. My Baby, Hatch Grow, Ovia Parenting, Baby+ and Medela Family list no in-app purchases at all. Nightlight charges nothing for logging, timers, sharing or exports, and its Premium is free for good with the AppHunt promo code on this page. A few well-known trackers are left out because they stop being free: Baby Connect and Baby Feed Timer stop logging after a 7-day trial unless you pay, and many reviews from October 2026 say Nara Baby now needs a subscription.
Can two parents or a nanny log on the same baby tracker?
Yes, and most apps here can. Nightlight shares the log through iCloud: send an invite link, and the person who opens it adds entries from their own iPhone, each marked with who logged it, at no cost and with no account. Huckleberry includes caregiver sync in its free tier, Ovia Parenting and Hatch Grow let you invite a partner or caregiver, and Baby Tracker by Nighp syncs the family's devices, with one Group Plus subscription covering the whole group.
Which baby tracker apps work on Apple Watch?
Half of them. Baby Tracker by Nighp describes logging from the watch, and Huckleberry, Glow Baby, My Baby and Medela Family list Apple Watch among their supported devices. Hatch Grow, Ovia Parenting, Baby+ and Baby Tracker! by Amila have no watch app. Nightlight doesn't have one either; its timers live on the iPhone Lock Screen, with Control Center buttons and Siri for quick entries.
How private are baby tracker apps?
Start with the App Privacy section on each App Store page, the developer's own summary of what an app collects. As of October 2026, Nightlight's label says it collects no data, and My Baby lists only data not linked to you. Hatch Grow and Medela Family list nothing used to track you, while Glow Baby lists five kinds and Ovia Parenting four, location among them. If sharing runs through an account with the developer, the log sits on its servers; Nightlight shares through your own iCloud instead.
Why is Nightlight first?
Nightlight is made by the AppHunt team, and we have a promo code for it, so it takes the first place. It came out in October 2026, too recently to be ranked by ratings like the rest. If you already log in Nara Baby or Huckleberry, Nightlight can import that history from their CSV export, so you don't start from zero.
How do I use the Nightlight promo code?
Tap Get on the Nightlight card. If you are not signed in to AppHunt you will be asked to log in, and the code appears right after. Redeem opens the App Store's own redemption screen with the code filled in.
How is the list ordered?
Places 2–10 are ordered by the number of ratings each app has in the US App Store, one app per developer. It measures how many people use an app, not a verdict on which one will suit your family. Only apps that keep basic logging free with no time limit qualify, so trackers that stop after a trial or now need a subscription are left out, as are pregnancy apps where tracking is a side feature and apps that only work with a baby monitor.
