Best free alternative to Perfect Piano: Klavi
Perfect Piano is free with ads, and its $5.99 Lifetime VIP removes them. Klavi, from the AppHunt team, does a different job for free: it listens to your real piano and teaches from a Piano Basics course, 11 easy songs and daily trainers, with no account and no ads. With the AppHunt promo code you get the full version of Klavi for free, for good.
Yes, Perfect Piano is free to download and play, and it shows ads. Its only in-app purchase in the US App Store is Lifetime VIP Membership at $5.99, which the listing says removes ads, never expires and adds exclusive sounds. The developer's site doesn't publish a price list or say exactly what the free version leaves out; these are US App Store prices on November 3, 2026, and they may change.
Is Perfect Piano free?
Revontulet's App Store text describes a piano simulator: an 88-key keyboard in single-row or double-row layouts, multitouch, nine instrument sounds, a metronome and MIDI or audio recording. For learning it lists thousands of popular scores with falling-note and waterfall guides, auto, semi-auto and wait-for-the-note modes, left and right hand setup, looping and speed control, plus online play with friends, a weekly song challenge and guilds. It supports USB MIDI keyboards too. The developer doesn't say which of these are free; the only line it draws is that VIP takes away ads and adds exclusive timbres. Reviews from July to October 2026 mention ads at awkward moments and say several instruments need VIP.
How much does Perfect Piano cost?
The only paid item the US App Store lists is Lifetime VIP Membership at $5.99. The listing describes it as no ads, valid permanently and exclusive timbres, so it looks like a one-time purchase rather than a subscription, although Revontulet's site has no page that spells the terms out. There is no weekly or monthly plan in the listing. These are US App Store prices on November 3, 2026, and they may change.

Klavi or Perfect Piano: how they compare
Klavi, made by the AppHunt team, is a free alternative if you want to learn on a real instrument. It hears each note through the microphone, or over USB or Bluetooth MIDI, and in Wait mode the music stops until you press the right key. Six courses with 36 lessons teach you to read notation from lesson one, and Note Sprint plus ear and rhythm trainers fill the gaps. The free part includes Piano Basics plus the opening lesson of every other course, 11 easy songs and a daily round of each trainer, with no account and no ads. Klavi Pro, which opens everything, is free with AppHunt's promo code at apphunt.app/app/klavi-pro; the App Store sells it at $39.99 a year, $89.99 once or $4.99 a week. Klavi isn't a play keyboard, though. Its listing mentions no choice of instrument sounds, no recorder, no multiplayer or song challenges and no huge song catalog: its 32 pieces are classical, folk and holiday tunes. It is built for iPhone with iOS 17 or later, has no Android version and is new, with no ratings yet. Perfect Piano's one-time $5.99 VIP is also far cheaper than Klavi Pro if you simply want ad-free play.

About Perfect Piano
Perfect Piano, from Revontulet Soft Inc., has 8,617 ratings averaging 4.5 in the US App Store. It is closer to a pocket keyboard with song guides than to a teacher: it plays its built-in piano sound when you tap, and it shows falling notes to follow. It runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 13.0 or later, its site also links a Google Play version, and version 8.0 came out on May 27, 2026. It suits people who want a keyboard on their phone for practice away from home, a metronome or a recording tool, more than structured lessons on a real piano.
