AppHunt has no promo code for Paired, but we have one for the alternative below.
Best free alternative to Paired: Duet
Paired's free version is one conversation a day; the games, quizzes and the rest need Premium. Duet, from the AppHunt team, gives you and your partner a daily question whose answers open together, with no account, and AppHunt has a promo code that unlocks Duet+. With the AppHunt promo code you get the full version of Duet for free, for good.
Yes: the Paired app is free to download, and the free version gives you and your partner one conversation a day, plus a shared timeline and special dates. The 1,000-plus questions, quizzes and games, the weekly insights and the expert tips need Paired Premium, which Paired's FAQ puts at $79.99 a year for a couple; the US App Store lists $14.99 a month, $39.99 or $74.99 for a year, and five more entries between $29.99 and $59.99. These are US App Store prices on October 30, 2026, and they may change.
Is Paired free?
Paired is free to download, and Paired says that without paying you get one question a day to answer together. Its help center adds that the free version includes the Timeline, where you save moments from your relationship, and Special Dates with reminders. The rest sits behind Paired Premium: more than 1,000 questions, quizzes and games, personalized weekly insights, themed packs, expert tips and new Secret Missions every week. You both need an account, because the daily questions are made for two, but only one of you has to pay: when one partner subscribes, Premium reaches the other automatically. US reviews from 2025 and 2026 describe the same split. Some couples are content with the one daily question, and many say that nearly everything else asks for Premium. If you cancel, your answers and Timeline stay, and you drop back to the free version.
How much does Paired cost?
Paired's FAQ prices Premium at $79.99 a year for a couple, which it works out as about $3.33 a month for each partner, and its help center says there is also a monthly plan; one partner pays and both get access. The US App Store lists Paired Premium - Monthly at $14.99, Paired Premium - Annual at $74.99 and $39.99, and five more entries named only Paired Premium, at $29.99, $36.99, $39.99, $44.99 and $59.99 (the page shows ten purchases at a time); the listing doesn't say who is shown which. Reviewers describe the same spread: about $35 to $80 for a year, $15 a month and, in some late 2026 reviews, about $30 a month, and some say a friend was shown a different price or a lower offer appeared after they declined the first one. The yearly plan comes with a free trial, and Paired says it runs discounts through the year. These are US App Store prices on October 30, 2026, and they may change.

Duet or Paired: how they compare
Duet, made by the AppHunt team, does the job of Paired's free version: one shared prompt a day, a question, a choice between two things or a small task, with each answer hidden until both of you have written one. Around it, Pulse shows your partner your mood after a single tap, even from a Home Screen widget, a shared record keeps every answered day and can be exported, and Rehearsal lets you draft something hard to say in private (three rehearsals are free). You pair up with a short code instead of an email address. Duet+ adds seven-step Journeys through money, home, boundaries and closeness, plus unlimited rehearsals; only one of you needs to subscribe, and AppHunt's promo code at apphunt.app/app/duet-plus unlocks it. Duet is much smaller than Paired, though: it has no library of 1,000-plus questions, no quizzes or couple games, no weekly insights or expert-written packs, it speaks only English and Russian, and it is iPhone-only, so you both need an iPhone, while Paired also runs on Android. It is also brand new, released on October 4, 2026, with no ratings yet.

About Paired
Paired, from Better Half Limited, is a couples app with 209,969 ratings averaging 4.7 in the US App Store. Each day it gives the two of you something new to answer, a question, a quiz or a game, and each partner's answer opens once the other has written theirs; Premium adds a large library of questions, quizzes and games, insights, themed packs and weekly Secret Missions. It runs on iPhone with iOS 17.0 or later and on Android, in English, French and German, and its latest update came out on October 30, 2026. Paired says it is not couples therapy and is not meant for relationships in serious crisis. It suits couples who want a big, ready-made library of conversation topics, including couples where one partner has an iPhone and the other an Android phone.

Is Paired free?
Yes, with limits. The Paired app is free to download, and the free version gives you and your partner one conversation a day, the Timeline and Special Dates with reminders. Paired Premium adds 1,000-plus questions, quizzes and games, weekly insights, themed packs, expert tips and weekly Secret Missions. Only one of you has to subscribe. In reviews from 2025 and 2026, people say the free version is one question a day and that almost every other tap asks for Premium.
How much does Paired cost?
Paired's FAQ lists Premium at $79.99 a year for a couple, and its help center mentions a monthly plan too. The US App Store lists Paired Premium - Monthly at $14.99, Annual at $74.99 and $39.99, and five more entries named Paired Premium at $29.99, $36.99, $39.99, $44.99 and $59.99, without saying who sees which. Reviewers mention about $35 to $80 for a year, and a few late 2026 reviews mention about $30 a month, so the Paired price you are shown may differ from the list. US prices on October 30, 2026; they may change.
Is there a Paired promo code?
AppHunt has no promo code for Paired. Paired says it runs discounts through the year: a promo page on its own site, which we saw on October 30, 2026, offers a 30-day free trial and 20% off the yearly plan when bought on the web, and a Golden Ticket invite link sent by a Premium member gives new users and their partner 30 days of Premium. If what you want is a daily question app that stays free, AppHunt has a promo code that unlocks Duet+.
Does Paired have a free trial?
Yes. Paired says you can start a 7-day free trial by choosing its yearly plan, that no charge is made before the trial is over, and that you can cancel before day 7; its checkout page says it sends a reminder on day 5. Some promo pages on its site offer 30 days instead. Several reviewers in 2026 say a full year was charged when the trial ended, so cancel at least a day before it does if you don't want to continue.
How do I cancel Paired Premium?
In the app, open the Us tab, tap the gear for Settings, then Manage Subscription and Cancel Subscription; for an App Store purchase you confirm in your Apple account settings, and a plan bought on Paired's website is canceled or updated from the same screen. Cancel a day or more ahead of the renewal date, because a later cancellation may still be charged, and note that pausing a subscription isn't possible. Apple handles refunds for App Store purchases and Paired's support handles website ones, and Paired's help center says refunds for the rest of a paid period are normally not granted.
Does my partner need to pay for Paired too?
No. You both need the app and your own account, but only one of you needs Premium: once you are paired in the app, access passes to the other partner automatically. If your partner bought it, you can't change or cancel the subscription yourself.
What do reviews of the Paired app say?
Paired has 209,969 ratings averaging 4.7 in the US App Store. In reviews from 2025 and 2026, people like the daily questions and say they help with long-distance relationships and conversations they would otherwise skip. The complaints are the one-question free version, the price of Premium, questions that don't fit long-distance couples, content some find too focused on sex, and charges after a trial or after canceling.
What is the best free alternative to Paired?
For a shared daily question, Duet is a free iPhone app from the AppHunt team: the two of you see one prompt, each answer unlocks once both partners have answered, and you link up with a short code, no account needed. Duet+ (Journeys on money, home and closeness, and unlimited rehearsals) costs $9.99 a month, $49.99 a year or $99.99 once, covers both partners, and AppHunt has a promo code that unlocks it. Duet has no quizzes, games or Android version, so if you use those, Paired is still the one to keep.
AppHunt is not affiliated with Better Half Limited. Prices are US App Store prices checked on October 30, 2026 and can change; your country’s store may show different prices.
