AppHunt has no promo code for Evergreen, but we have one for the alternative below.
Best free alternative to Evergreen: Duet
Evergreen is free to download, but its developer doesn't say what stays free, and reviewers in 2026 report a paywall once an account exists. Duet, from the AppHunt team, gives you and your partner a daily question for free, with no account, and AppHunt has a promo code that unlocks Duet+. With the AppHunt promo code you get the full version of Duet for free, for good.
Evergreen is free to download, but its developer doesn't say what you can use without paying, and the US App Store lists only paid Unlimited access subscriptions: $9.99, $12.99, $19.99, $29.99, $34.99, $49.99 and $69.99. Reviewers in 2026 say they hit a paywall after creating an account. These are US App Store prices on November 2, 2026, and they may change.
Is Evergreen free?
Evergreen is free to download, and that is all the developer states. Its App Store page and its website, which is a single page, don't say what the free version includes or whether it has one. Reviews give a mixed picture. A reviewer in 2026 who used the app for about four years says the free version was cut to one question a day and then locked completely, and another says the cost only became clear after an account was made. A third says they would like to try things before paying. Others praise the daily questions and quizzes without mentioning a limit. Because the developer doesn't list what is free, assume a subscription is needed for regular use.
How much does Evergreen cost?
Evergreen sells Unlimited access, and the App Store lists ten entries under that one name, at $9.99 (three times), $12.99, $19.99, $29.99, $34.99, $49.99 (twice) and $69.99, with no billing periods. The developer's terms say subscriptions renew automatically for one year or the previous term, that fees are not refundable and that credits expire when a subscription ends. Reviewers in 2025 and 2026 describe being charged about $50 after a trial, getting no renewal reminder and reaching support only by email. These are US App Store prices on November 2, 2026, and they may change.

Duet or Evergreen: how they compare
Duet, made by the AppHunt team, matches the daily-question part of Evergreen. You both get one prompt a day, and your partner's answer opens only when you have written yours, so nobody copies. That daily part is free with no account, you pair with a six-character code, and you can start alone and invite your partner later. A shared record keeps every answered day, Pulse shows your mood with one tap, and Rehearsal drafts a hard message in private (three are free). Duet+ adds seven-step Journeys on money, home, boundaries and closeness, which are the closest thing to Evergreen's topic lessons, plus unlimited rehearsals; only one of you needs to subscribe, and AppHunt's promo code at apphunt.app/app/duet-plus unlocks it. Duet is much smaller, though. It has no quizzes, no games, no weekly check-ins, no tips from relationship experts and no points. It is iPhone-only, so an Android partner can't join, and it speaks English and Russian. It launched on October 4, 2026, so it has no ratings yet.

Evergreen: questions and answers
Is Evergreen free?
Evergreen is free to download, but the developer doesn't say what the free version includes. In reviews from 2026, people say they were asked to pay after creating an account, and a long-time user says the free version shrank to one question a day and was then locked. Plan on paying for regular use.
How much does Evergreen cost?
The US App Store lists Evergreen Unlimited access at $9.99, $12.99, $19.99, $29.99, $34.99, $49.99 and $69.99, with ten entries in all and no billing periods shown. US prices on November 2, 2026; they may change.
Is there an Evergreen promo code?
AppHunt has no promo code for Evergreen, and we found no discount code on the developer's website. If you mostly want a daily question for two, AppHunt has a promo code that unlocks Duet+.
Does Evergreen have a free trial?
The developer doesn't mention a trial on its website or in the App Store text. Some reviewers in 2026 describe a free trial that turned into a yearly charge of around $50, so check the purchase screen and cancel at least a day before any trial ends.
How do I cancel Evergreen?
On your iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, pick Evergreen and cancel; deleting the app cancels nothing. The developer's terms say fees are not refundable, so ask Apple about refunds for App Store charges. Several reviewers say Evergreen sends no renewal reminder, so put the date in your calendar.
What do reviews of Evergreen say?
Evergreen has 54,731 ratings averaging 4.8 in the US App Store. In 2025 and 2026 reviews, people like the quizzes, the daily questions and the check-ins, and some say a therapist suggested it. The complaints are the paywall, charges after a trial, a missing daily prompt that broke a streak, and slow support.
What is the best free alternative to Evergreen?
For a daily question, Duet is a free iPhone app from the AppHunt team: you each answer the same prompt, the answers open together, and no account is needed. AppHunt has a promo code that unlocks Duet+. Duet has no quizzes, games or expert lessons and no Android version, so if those are why you use Evergreen, it is still the one to keep.
AppHunt is not affiliated with Evergreen Technologies, LLC. Prices are US App Store prices checked on November 2, 2026 and can change; your country’s store may show different prices.
