Dogo app: is it free, what Dogo Premium costs and a free alternative

AppHunt has no promo code for Dogo, but we have one for the alternative below.
Best free alternative to Dogo: Fluier
Dogo's courses sit behind a subscription once its 7-day trial ends, and reviewers say little is open without one. Fluier, from the AppHunt team, is a dog whistle and clicker with first lessons that cost nothing and no account, and AppHunt has a promo code that unlocks Fluier Premium. With the AppHunt promo code you get the full version of Fluier for free, for good.
The Dogo app is free to download, but its App Store listing says you need to subscribe once the 7-day free trial ends, while Dogo's terms describe a free version with limited content and features and don't list them. The listing gives no monthly or yearly price; Dogo's web sign-up page shows $9.99 a week, $29.99 a month and $49.99 every three months, and the US App Store lists one in-app purchase, Premium Lifetime, at $299.99 (prices seen on October 30, 2026; they may change).
Is Dogo free?
Dogo is free to download on iPhone and iPad. Its App Store listing says you can try Dogo free for 7 days and must subscribe after that, with a 1-month or a 12-month plan. Its terms of service are less strict: they say an account holder gets either a free version that offers only part of the content and features, or a paid subscription with access to all content, but neither the terms nor the website say what that part is; the web sign-up page lists the paid plan's contents, a digital clicker and whistle among them, without saying what is free. US reviewers in 2025 and 2026 mostly say the courses and lessons are locked without a subscription, and a few say the potty and walk trackers or a handful of tricks still work for free. Dogo's help center adds that the trial, when one is available, is shown on the subscription screen, and that someone who has already used a trial is charged straight away.
How much does Dogo cost?
Dogo's App Store listing names two subscription plans, 1 month and 12 months, without prices, and the In-App Purchases section of the US App Store page lists a single item, Premium Lifetime, described as Premium forever, at $299.99. Dogo's own web sign-up page, last published in December 2025, shows other plans: $9.99 a week, $29.99 a month and $49.99 every three months, each at half price for the first payment, and says the paid plan includes unlimited programs and trainer feedback, a trainer helpline, vaccine and weight tracking, a digital clicker and whistle, a digital certificate and five family accounts. Dogo's terms say it may also offer bi-weekly, bi-annual, annual and forever plans, so the price in the app can differ from both lists; check the subscription screen before you confirm. These are prices seen on October 30, 2026, and they may change.

Fluier or Dogo: how they compare
Fluier, made by the AppHunt team, covers the tools side of Dogo: a training whistle and a clicker, plus short lessons that teach your dog what the signals mean. The whistle plays attention, stop and recall signals at a pitch you set anywhere between 500 Hz and 22 kHz, and the clicker sounds the moment you touch the screen, with four click sounds. Both are free with no limits, along with the four lessons that introduce the clicker, the opening recall lesson and a training log. Premium adds the other 15 lessons, covering the rest of recall, the stop signal, manners and tricks, plus several dogs, and AppHunt's promo code at apphunt.app/app/fluier-premium unlocks it. There is no account and no ads, and the whistle, clicker and lessons need no connection. Fluier is not a replacement for Dogo's course, though: it has no library of 100-plus video tricks, no trainer feedback on a video you send, no community challenges, no potty schedule and no help with problems such as barking or anxiety, which Fluier tells you to take to a qualified trainer or vet. It is also new, released on October 1, 2026, with no ratings yet.

Dogo: questions and answers
Is Dogo free?
Only partly. The Dogo app is free to download, and Dogo's terms describe a free version with limited content and features, but its App Store listing says you must subscribe after the 7-day free trial and nothing says exactly what stays free. Reviews from 2025 and 2026 mostly say the courses are locked, with a few saying the trackers or some tricks work without paying.
How much does Dogo cost?
Dogo's listing names a 1-month and a 12-month plan without prices. Its web sign-up page, last published in December 2025, lists $9.99 a week, $29.99 a month and $49.99 every three months, each at half price for the first payment, and the US App Store page lists one in-app purchase, Premium Lifetime, at $299.99. The Dogo price in the app can differ, so read the subscription screen before you confirm. Prices seen on October 30, 2026; they may change.
Is there a Dogo promo code?
AppHunt has no promo code for Dogo. Dogo's web sign-up page offers half off the first payment of a new plan, its terms mention promotion codes, which can't be combined with other offers, and say introductory offers are for new users only, and it sells digital gift cards for a year of Premium. If you mainly want a whistle and clicker with lessons, AppHunt has a promo code that unlocks Fluier Premium.
Does Dogo have a free trial?
Yes. Dogo's listing says you can try it free for 7 days, after which you need to subscribe, and its help center says that when a trial is available the subscription screen shows it. The help center also says someone who has used a trial before is charged straight away, and one 2026 reviewer says the charge came on the first day.
How do I cancel Dogo?
Dogo's help center says to tap Manage my subscription in the app's settings, use the link in Apple's receipt email, or go to Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Dogo. A plan bought on Dogo's website is canceled by emailing Dogo. Dogo's terms say App Store sales are final and refunds follow Apple's policy, while a website purchase comes with a money-back guarantee for 14 days, on the first yearly or forever plan.
Does Dogo have a whistle and a clicker?
Yes. Dogo's listing says it has a built-in clicker and whistle for marking a behavior, with several whistle sounds, and its web sign-up page lists a digital clicker and whistle among the paid plan's contents; the listing doesn't say whether they work without a subscription. Fluier is built around those two tools: its whistle with every signal and its clicker are free with no limits.
What do reviews of the Dogo app say?
Dogo has 17,313 ratings averaging 4.8 in the US App Store. Reviews from 2025 and 2026 praise the video lessons, the trainer feedback on videos and the potty tracker, and the recurring complaints are that almost everything needs a subscription, that a trial rolled into a charge, and, after a late 2025 update, bugs in the tracker.
What is the best free alternative to Dogo?
For the whistle and clicker, Fluier is a free iPhone and iPad app from the AppHunt team: all its whistle signals, the clicker, the intro lessons, the opening recall lesson and a training log cost nothing, with no account, and AppHunt has a promo code that unlocks Fluier Premium, which otherwise costs $19.99 for a year (the first 3 days free), $4.99 for a month, $2.99 for a week or $29.99 once. It has no video library, trainer feedback or behavior courses, so for a full course Dogo is still the bigger app. Our list of free dog whistle apps has more.
