Free helper for BLK: Flirta
BLK charges for unlimited likes, seeing everyone who liked you and read receipts. Flirta is not a dating app and does not replace BLK: it drafts openers and replies for your BLK chats in a tone you choose. With the AppHunt promo code you get the full version of Flirta for free, for good.
Yes: you can join BLK, which is made for Black singles, without paying, and you can chat with anyone you match with. BLK doesn't say how many likes a free member gets; its paid tiers sell unlimited likes (Premium), seeing everyone who liked you (Elite) and extra filters and read receipts (Platinum). The US App Store page shows Elite at $17.99 or $19.99 for a week and $19.99 or $29.99 for a month, and BLK's description says subscriptions start at $9.99; these are US App Store prices on October 30, 2026, and they may change.
Is BLK free?
BLK's App Store listing says every member can join the community, set what they are looking for, browse a fresh set of suggested profiles each day and chat once the other person likes them back, and that you can keep using BLK without ever subscribing. BLK doesn't publish how many likes a free member can send; Premium is the tier described as unlimited. According to BLK's October 2026 help pages, seeing everyone who has liked you is an Elite feature. An update note from November 2025 said viewing likes was being made free, starting with a smaller test group, and reviewers in 2026 still regularly say they have to pay to see their likes. Boosts and Super Likes can also be bought one pack at a time without a subscription.
How much does BLK cost?
BLK's help center lists three paid tiers, each sold as a package of one week, one month, three months or six months, but gives no prices. Premium adds unlimited likes and rewinds, five Super Likes a week, a free Boost each month and no ads. Elite adds the ability to sort your likes and see everyone who liked you. Platinum adds more swipe filters (recently active, new users, subscribers), read receipts and Priority Likes, which keep your like near the top of someone's queue for 48 hours. BLK's description says subscriptions start at $9.99, but the purchases listed on the US App Store page are only Elite plans and add-ons: Elite for a week at $17.99 or $19.99, Elite for a month at $19.99 or $29.99, a Boost at $2.99 or $3.99, five Really Likes at $2.99 and five Super Likes at $4.99. The page shows ten purchases at a time, so treat the list as a sample, and reviewers in 2026 mention paying about $21 or $22 for a week. These are US App Store prices on October 30, 2026, and they may change.

Flirta with BLK: what it adds
Flirta is not a dating app and doesn't replace BLK. On BLK you can chat only after both people like each other, and Flirta helps with what comes next: give it the text of the chat or a screenshot, explain the point you want to make, choose a tone from subtle to bold, and it proposes an opener or a reply for you to edit and send yourself. It can also give several first lines at once, tighten a draft of your own, suggest date ideas and add brief tips for conversations. It isn't made for any one community, so its drafts are general English and work best when you add your own references and humor. Flirta is free to download; its listing shows paid plans at $6.99 a month or $39.99 a year in the US App Store without saying what the free version includes, and AppHunt has a promo code that unlocks the full version. It can't find matches, show who liked you, unlock Premium, Elite or Platinum features, or send anything for you. It is a small app: 51 ratings on the US App Store as of October 30, 2026 and its latest update on November 3, 2025.

Is BLK free?
Yes. BLK's listing says you can join, set your preferences, browse suggested profiles each day and chat with members who like you back without paying, and that you can keep using BLK without subscribing. The paid tiers add unlimited likes and rewinds (Premium), seeing everyone who liked you (Elite), and extra filters, read receipts and Priority Likes (Platinum). BLK doesn't say how many likes a free member gets.
How much does BLK cost?
BLK Premium, Elite and Platinum are sold as packages of one week, one month, three months or six months, and BLK's help center gives no prices. The US App Store page shows Elite for a week at $17.99 or $19.99 and for a month at $19.99 or $29.99, a Boost at $2.99 or $3.99, five Really Likes at $2.99 and five Super Likes at $4.99; BLK's description says subscriptions start at $9.99. Reviewers in 2026 mention about $21 or $22 for a week. US prices on October 30, 2026; they may change.
Is there a BLK promo code?
AppHunt has no promo code for BLK, and BLK's help center doesn't mention codes or coupons. It does say that the discounts you see can vary with your use of other Match Group apps. If a cheaper plan isn't the point and you just want help with the wording of chats, AppHunt has a promo code that unlocks the full version of Flirta, a writing helper (apphunt.app/app/flirta-ai-dating-assistant). It changes nothing in your BLK account.
Does BLK have a free trial?
BLK doesn't advertise one. Neither its help center nor its App Store listing mentions a free trial of Premium, Elite or Platinum. BLK's listing says you can simply keep using the app without a subscription, so you can look around before you pay.
How do I cancel BLK Premium, Elite or Platinum?
BLK's help center says to turn off auto-renewal on your iPhone in Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions, by picking BLK and cancelling; you can also open the app, tap your profile, then the gear icon and Manage Subscription. A paid membership stays active until its end date and then the account returns to free. Cancel before the renewal date, because subscriptions renew on their own. A few reviewers say they couldn't find a way to cancel in the app or kept being charged.
Does Flirta work with BLK?
Flirta is not connected to BLK, and it is not an alternative to it. It is a separate AI writing app and an AppHunt partner app. Copy a BLK message or paste a screenshot of the chat into Flirta, tell it what you want to say and pick a tone, and it suggests a reply or an opener. You paste it back into BLK, make it your own and send it yourself. Flirta isn't built for any particular community, can't see your BLK account and can't unlock BLK's paid tiers. Its App Store privacy label lists photos or videos among the data it collects for app functionality, so leave out anything sensitive when you share a screenshot. AppHunt has a promo code that unlocks Flirta's full version.
What do reviews of the BLK app say?
BLK has 556,567 ratings averaging 4.6 in the US App Store. Among the 500 most recent written US reviews, from May 26 to October 28, 2026, 335 give one star and 40 give five. The most frequent complaints are login problems after updates or purchases, fake or bot profiles, paying to see who liked you, profiles shown outside the chosen distance, and accounts disabled without an explanation, including some after paying. Reviewers who are happy describe the community and the people they met.
Is there a free BLK alternative?
Flirta is not one, because it doesn't match you with anyone. For a BLK alternative, meaning a different dating app, our top-ten list of free dating apps for iPhone compares Hinge, Chispa, Bumble, Tinder, OkCupid, Hily and others; they are free to download and sell optional upgrades.
AppHunt is not affiliated with Affinity Apps, LLC. Prices are US App Store prices checked on October 30, 2026 and can change; your country’s store may show different prices.
