Walnut Privacy Policy
Updated September 30, 2026
Walnut is a brain-games app for iPhone. It is built so that everything about your play stays on your device.
What we collect
Nothing. Walnut has no account or sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We do not run a server that receives your data.
What stays on your iPhone
- Your scores, levels, streak, workout history, puzzle times and settings are stored in a file inside the app. They are part of your normal iPhone backup and are deleted with the app. You can erase them at any time in Me › Reset progress.
- The optional age range you choose during setup is used only to suggest a comfortable pace and never leaves your iPhone.
- Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone; you can turn them off at any time.
- Game Center (if you open the leaderboards and sign in) is operated by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; Walnut only submits your game scores to it.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details; Apple's privacy policy applies to those transactions.
Permissions
Notifications are requested only if you turn on a daily reminder, or when you start a free trial (so we can remind you two days before it ends).
Health information
Walnut is for fun and practice. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and it does not collect health data.
Children
Walnut does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
