How to add a signature to a PDF

Folbrio lets you draw a signature and place it on a PDF page. Use it when you need a visual signature annotation on a document and the recipient accepts that format. You can prepare the page, position the signature and export the result from your device.

A drawn signature is a visual annotation. Folbrio does not issue certificate-based digital signatures or validate the identity of a signer. Check the recipient’s requirements before using a drawn signature.

Draw and place your signature

• Open your PDF and navigate to its signature area.
• Choose Signature and draw your signature in the signature panel.
• Confirm the drawing and position it on the page.
• Use Move to select or reposition the annotation when needed.
• Export a copy and reopen it to check the finished page.

Add a name or date beside the signature

Choose Text to place a new text annotation next to the signature. Add the requested name or date, then check its size and position. To change existing wording elsewhere in the document, use Edit instead. The PDF text guide explains that difference.

Fix the position before sending

Check the signature at both page size and a comfortable reading zoom. It should fit its intended area without covering instructions or other content. Select it with Move to reposition or remove it. If a change was accidental, use Undo and check the page again.

Export the signed copy

Choose Export and save the PDF using the system interface. Give the copy a name that helps you distinguish it from the original. Open the exported file and confirm that the signature, date and all pages appear as intended before sharing it.

Where your document goes

The app processes your PDF on your device and does not send it to a developer-operated server. You choose the destination for an export. An email service, cloud drive or other destination you select has its own privacy practices. Each Folbrio device has a separate local library.
