8hrs Privacy Policy

8hrs is a work hours tracker for iPhone published by Glory Mae Dagapioso. This policy explains what happens to the information you put into the app.
The short version
- 8hrs has no account and no ads.
- Your hours, projects and rates stay on your iPhone. The only copy made automatically is iCloud sync to your own iCloud account.
- We don't collect, sell or share your time entries. The optional Daily Gift wheel sends AppHunt only a random ID the app makes for itself, to count your spins.
- The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code.
- Apple handles purchases of 8hrs Pro. We never see your payment details.
Information you enter
Time entries, breaks, projects, clients, hourly rates, pay settings, tags and notes are stored in a database on your iPhone. When iCloud sync is on for 8hrs, they're also stored in your private iCloud database, which Apple keeps under your Apple Account and which we can't read.
Imported files
When you import a CSV export from Toggl Track, Clockify or Harvest, you choose the file with the system file picker. 8hrs reads it on your iPhone and adds its entries to your database. The file isn't uploaded anywhere, and 8hrs doesn't connect to those services.
Permissions
- Notifications: used only for reminders you turn on and for the long-running timer check. They're scheduled on your device.
- Live Activities and widgets: show your running timer and today's totals on your devices. The data doesn't leave your device.
Exports
PDF timesheets and CSV files you create are saved or shared wherever you choose. We don't receive a copy.
Purchases
8hrs Pro subscriptions, the lifetime purchase and promo codes go through Apple's App Store, and Apple processes them under its own privacy policy. We don't receive your name, email address or payment details. The app only asks Apple for prices and whether 8hrs Pro is active on your Apple Account.
Daily Gift
The Daily Gift is a free prize wheel run by AppHunt, our promotion service. When it opens or you spin, 8hrs sends apphunt.app a random ID it created for itself and the app's language. AppHunt keeps that ID with your spins and what they won, so it can limit spins and never give one device the same prize twice. It never receives your hours, projects, name, email or location, doesn't store your IP address with your spins, and doesn't use any of it for advertising or tracking. Deleting 8hrs deletes the ID. Codes you win are saved on your iPhone so you can find them again under Your prizes.
Children
8hrs isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
When you contact support
If you email support, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to send. We use it only to answer you and to fix the problem you report.
This website
Pages on apphunt.app use Google Analytics to count visits. Requesting an 8hrs Pro promo code uses your AppHunt account. See the AppHunt privacy policy for details.
