MouseBridge
MouseBridge Privacy Policy
Updated September 25, 2026
MouseBridge shares a mouse, keyboard and clipboard between your Macs. It has no account, no analytics and no advertising, and it does not collect personal data.
What travels between your Macs
When the cursor is on another Mac, MouseBridge sends that Mac your mouse movements, clicks, scrolling and key presses. With the shared clipboard on, it also sends what you copy, including files you copy in Finder. This goes directly between your Macs over your local network, encrypted with keys derived from your network password. It is never sent to us or to any server.
What stays on your Mac
Your settings — this Mac's name, the network password, the screen layout and addresses you add — are stored in the app's preferences on each Mac. Files copied from another Mac wait in MouseBridge's cache folder until the next copy and are removed when the app restarts. A log of connections and errors is kept in ~/Library/Logs/MouseBridge.log so you can troubleshoot; it contains no keystrokes or clipboard contents.
Permissions
Accessibility permission lets MouseBridge read and post mouse and keyboard events, which is how it moves input between Macs. Local Network permission lets it find and connect to your other Macs. Neither is used for anything else.
