Subscription tracker for iPhone

You're paying for things you forgot about. Cutback finds them.

Most people have three or four subscriptions they haven't opened in months, plus a free trial that quietly became a charge. Cutback puts a yearly figure on each one and gives you a one-tap way out. No bank login, no account.

  • Reads App Store subscriptions from a screenshot
  • Finds charges in a bank statement
  • Warns before a trial converts
  • Cancel from the notification
  • Widgets
  • No account

Not a list of what you pay for. A list of what to cancel.

Every other tracker stops at the total. Cutback goes on to tell you which subscriptions are worth keeping and which are just leaving on their own.

Screenshot import

The subscriptions no bank feed can see

Apple bills every App Store subscription as a single line, so a bank-linked app can't tell them apart. Take a screenshot of Settings › Subscriptions and Cutback reads it on your iPhone. The image is never uploaded.

What to cut

Unused, doubled up, about to renew

Cutback shows what you haven't opened, where you're paying twice for the same thing, which trial converts this week and which plan is cheaper by the year — each with the money it would free up.

Savings

A number that only goes up

Every cancellation adds to a running total of what you've saved, and it keeps climbing month after month. It's the reason to open a subscription tracker twice.

Reminders

Before the money moves

A nudge three days and one day before every renewal, with the amount and the date. Cancel straight from the notification.

Widgets

The next charge at a glance

Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets for the next charge, the week ahead, and what cancelling has saved.

On device

Nothing leaves your iPhone

Screenshots and statements are read on the phone. No bank password, no account, no upload.

Any plan

Every billing period

Weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, every few days, one-off purchases, trials, shared family plans and any currency.

Free to track. One payment for the rest.

Cutback is free to download, with no ads. Cutback Pro is a single purchase, not a subscription — charging a subscription to manage subscriptions would be absurd. Prices are in US dollars.

Questions about Cutback

Does Cutback connect to my bank?

No. Cutback never asks for a bank login and has no account to sign up for. You can import a CSV statement you export yourself, and it is read on your iPhone and then forgotten.

How does it find my App Store subscriptions?

Apple bills them all as one line, so no bank feed can separate them. You take a screenshot of Settings › Subscriptions and Cutback reads the text on your iPhone using Apple's Vision framework. The image is never uploaded.

Is Cutback free?

Yes. Unlimited subscriptions, reminders, the calendar, widgets and the savings total are free. Cutback Pro is optional.

How much is Cutback Pro?

$14.99, paid once. It is not a subscription and it does not renew. It unlocks screenshot and statement import, the full list of what to cut, and price-rise alerts.

Can I cancel a subscription from inside Cutback?

Cutback takes you straight to the page that cancels it — the service's own cancellation page, or the iOS Subscriptions screen for anything billed through the App Store. Apple does not let any app cancel on your behalf.

Where is my data stored?

In a database on your iPhone. There is no Cutback account and no server holding your subscriptions.

Which currencies does it handle?

Any currency, and several at once — useful if some subscriptions are billed abroad.
