Acord Privacy Policy

Acord is a tuner, metronome and pitch pipe for iPhone and iPad published by Glory Mae Dagapioso. This policy explains what happens to the information the app handles.

The short version

Acord has no account, no ads and no servers, and it collects no analytics. The microphone is used only while the tuner is open, to hear the note; nothing is recorded, stored or sent. Your settings stay on your device. Apple handles purchases of Acord Premium.

The microphone

When you open the tuner, Acord asks iOS for the microphone. While the tuner is on screen, the sound is analysed a few thousand samples at a time in the app's memory to find its pitch, and each piece is overwritten a fraction of a second later. Acord never records audio, never saves it and never sends it anywhere. The microphone is never used in the background: it stops as soon as you leave the tuner or the app. You can turn microphone access off at any time in iOS Settings › Acord.

What is stored on your device

Your settings — instrument and tuning, reference pitch, note names, display, sounds, metronome settings, haptics and theme — and the instruments you used recently. This information never leaves your device and is deleted with the app.

Purchases

Acord Premium subscriptions and the lifetime purchase go through Apple's App Store, and Apple processes them under its own privacy policy. We don't receive your name, email address or payment details. The app only asks Apple for prices and whether Acord Premium is active on your Apple Account.

Children

Acord isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

This website

apphunt.app uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It records the usual web request information — pages viewed, approximate region, browser and device type — and does not identify you. The app does not use it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
