Sonda

Sonda Privacy Policy

Updated September 25, 2026

Sonda is a hidden-camera and tracker detector and a lost-device finder for iPhone and iPad published by Glory Mae Dagapioso. This policy explains what happens to the information the app handles.

The short version

Sonda has no account, no ads and no servers, and it collects no analytics. Scans run on your device, and what Sonda learns about the devices around you stays on your device. Sonda only listens: it never logs in to, connects to for longer than a handshake, or changes any device it finds. Apple handles purchases of Sonda Premium.

Wi-Fi scan

With the Local Network permission, Sonda reads your iPhone's own address on the Wi-Fi network and asks the other addresses of that network whether a device is there, the way a router's “connected devices” page does. It notes which common services a device answers on, the name it announces over Bonjour or reverse lookup, the title and server name of the device's own web page, and whether it answers a standard video-streaming (RTSP) request. This information is shown to you, kept in memory while the app is open, and never uploaded. Sonda never sends passwords, never logs in and never changes any setting on any device.

Bluetooth scan

With the Bluetooth permission, Sonda listens to the advertisements that nearby Bluetooth devices broadcast to everyone (names, manufacturer codes, service identifiers, signal strength). It uses them to tell trackers, earbuds and other devices apart and to estimate distance. Sonda never connects to these devices. The list is kept in memory while the app is open and is discarded when you leave.

Camera and sensors

The lens finder and the infrared check use the camera to show you the room and, with Premium, to look for small bright reflections in the live picture. Frames are analyzed in memory and are never saved, stored or sent. The magnet check reads the built-in magnetometer.

What is stored on your device

Settings and your last check: your settings, the checklist you ticked, and a one-line summary of your last room check (date and counts).

Devices you marked as “mine”: a Bluetooth identifier or a network name, so they are not flagged again. You can forget them in Settings.

Reports: reports you choose to share contain device names and addresses from your network; share them only with people you trust.

All of this is deleted with the app. None of it leaves your device.

Purchases

Sonda Premium subscriptions and the lifetime purchase go through Apple's App Store, and Apple processes them under its own privacy policy. We don't receive your name, email address or payment details. The app only asks Apple for prices and whether Sonda Premium is active on your Apple Account.

Children

Sonda isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

This website

apphunt.app uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It records the usual web request information — pages viewed, approximate region, browser and device type — and does not identify you. The app does not use it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
