Connect your two phones

One of you finishes setup and keeps the six-character code on the invite screen. The other chooses I have their code instead during setup and types it in. Codes skip easily confused characters like 0 and O, so they're safe to read aloud.

My partner can't see my answer

They will as soon as they write theirs for the same day. Until both of you have answered, neither answer is shown. That's the point: nobody reads ahead.

Rhythm and pausing

Answering together speeds your rhythm up; a missed day slows it a little, and it never resets to zero. Going away? Open You two and pause for 7, 14 or 30 days.

Journeys

A journey is seven steps on one subject, one a day. A step moves on only when you've both answered, so a missed day waits for you. Journeys are part of Duet+.

I reinstalled the app

On the same iPhone, Duet picks up where you left off. On a new iPhone you start again and connect with a new code, so export your record first if you want to keep it: You two → Export.

Duet+

One purchase covers both of you. Prices are in US dollars; the App Store shows your currency before you buy. Manage or cancel a subscription in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling keeps Duet+ until the end of the period you've paid for.

I paid but Duet+ isn't on

Open the Duet+ screen and tap Restore purchases. Only one of you needs Duet+.

Delete your data

In the app: You two → Delete my account and data. It removes your answers and pulse from our servers and everything Duet stored on your iPhone, including rehearsals. Your partner keeps what they wrote.
